On May 15, approximately 150 guests enjoyed an evening under the stars featuring the movie classic, Best in Show, to benefit Two Pups Wellness Fund. The drive-in movie, dinner and festivities held at Westworld of Scottsdale’s polo fields raised more than $75,000. The money will allow Two Pups Wellness Fund to expand its mission of funding vital medical care and treatment for shelter and rescue animals that are ill, injured and abused.
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support. For every animal we help, there are hundreds more in need of care. Thanks to the generosity of all that attended and donated we can continue to fund medical treatments for dogs and cats that are hurting and often have no other source,” says Nancy Silver, Two Pups Wellness Fund founder.
Guests were greeted with goodie bags filled with dog treats and tennis balls for pets at home, VIP seating included luxury lounge seating and table service, provided by Southwest Teepee and Event Rentals and M Culinary. The bar served signature drinks “Salty Dog”, “Canine Cosmo” and “The Nancy”, while M Catering dished up boxed-dinners of fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and brownies. Popcorn, movie candy and ice cream were personally delivered to each car by members of the Two Pups pack. Topping off the evening was a special appearance by Barbra Seville, Mia Adams and Naomi St. James, of Drag Queen Extraordinaire.
Nancy Silver, co-owner of The Paper Place, founded and launched Two Pups Wellness Fund in spring 2017. Since then, the nonprofit has helped more than 4,000 animals with funding for emergency treatment, medical care and microchips.
