Megan Hanley and Manh Pham Celebrate Nuptials with 2 Ceremonies

The couple celebrated with two ceremonies to honor both of their cultures. They held a traditional Vietnamese ceremony and reception at Minh’s family’s home on Friday morning. The bridal party and family escorted the bride into the home, where they were welcomed and accepted into the family. Then they prayed to ancestors to ask for health, prosperity and long-lasting love. Their prayers were followed by a wedding feast that included a sacrificial pig.

A traditional American ceremony and reception were held Saturday evening. Two of Megan’s mother’s best friends, a Unitarian minister and a retired judge, officiated.
