ZooFari: An Island Soirée

Giant insects! Lighted animal sculptures! More than 1,000 Valley philanthropists, leaders and supporters of the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation/Phoenix Zoo gathered for a lively tropical evening at ZooFari: An Island Soirée on Oct. 5. Guests, wearing their best island chic attire, were greeted by the Zoo’s animal residents.

ZooFari Premium ticket holders enjoyed premier entry at 5:30 p.m., with access to the exclusive Tiki Lounge, hosted bars within the silent auction, until 7 p.m. All ZooFari partygoers were then treated to an outdoor tropical celebration and enjoyed delicacies and beverages from more than 30 Valley restaurants and caterers. Attendees danced under the stars to the sounds of 2nd Shift and Patrick Sieben.

Mary and Mark Bonsall served as 2018 ZooFari honorary chairs. The event raised more than $400,000. Proceeds will benefit the Zoo’s world-renowned conservation initiatives, excellence in educational programs and mission. Phoenix Zoo is one of the largest nonprofit, privately funded zoos in the country.
