Wine Women & Shoes

The Third Annual Wine Women & Shoes raised more than $300,000 to benefit the programs and services of Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. The September 21 event at Chateau Luxe was presented by PetSmart, bringing together women from around the Valley for an afternoon of wine, shopping and fashion.

Chelsey Davis from ABC15 co-emceed the event with her husband Brandon Hamilton from Channel 3. The two brought energy and passion to the luncheon as guests were treated to a fashion show presented by Dillard’s, a runway strut with the Best in Shoe competition sponsored by My Sister’s Closet and price announcements.

The luncheon also featured 23 community-minded “Shoe Guys,” who competed to be crowned the “King of Sole” and “Prince of Pump” through fundraising efforts. Tony Alfonso with BDO USA, LLP was crowned King of Sole and raised $5,325. Andy Parnell, with LaneTerralever, was Prince of Pump, raising $1,585. In total, the Shoe Guys raised a record-setting $12,000 for Fresh Start and also helped as volunteers during the event.

The grand finale of the event was the announcement of the winner in the Key to the Closet competition. Sponsored by Scottsdale Fashion Square and Classy Closets, one lucky winner received the prize that was valued at more than $10,000. It included designer bags, beauty baskets, gifts cards and more.

Lindsey Della Donna and Allison Davis co-chaired the event. Anna Aja was the auctioneer for the luncheon.
