The Grand Illusion

The 9th Annual Fitz’s Supper Club, themed The Grand Illusion, drew fans, athletes and celebrity friends to watch illusionist Darcy Oake bring to life the world of magicians, mentalists and illusionists. The Aug. 28 event at Dominick’s Steakhouse raised $575,000 for the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund. Dominick’s Steakhouse and Steak 44 underwrote the evening.

In addition to fans and First Down Fund supporters, the room was filled with athletes from many sports, several of whom helped serve dinner. The Arizona Cardinals were represented by Coach Bruce Arians, President Michael Bidwill, and wide receiver Brittan Golden, among others. Seth Joyner, former NFL player and NFL analyst, and television host and four-time NBA champion John Salley were also in attendance.

For more than a decade, the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund has been supporting kids and their families with significant gifts of time, money and special resources through numerous associations across the country. The focus of the fund is to support organizations that work with youth to promote reading and to close the technology gap. In addition, in honor of his mother, Fitzgerald continues to support organizations that work to cure cancer and to provide support to cancer survivors.
