Phoenix Boys Choir Presents ‘That’s Entertainment!’

Phoenix Boys Choir hosted its signature fundraising gala at Steele Indian School Park on Oct. 17. The gala celebrated the organization’s 68 years of artistic education and making beautiful music in the Phoenix community.

The evening included performances by Phoenix Boys Choir Tour and Masters choirs as well as the Arizona School for the Arts Woodwind Quintet. Dinner for the 125 guests was prepared by Michael Mazzocco of The Herb Box catering company. Phoenix Theatre’s Producing Artistic Direcctor Michael Barnard and Sal River, partner and shareholder of Rivera Law Group received awards for their longtime support of the arts in the Valley.

Mary Farrington-Lorch and Jo Finks co-chaired the gala, and Toby Yatso, Phoenix Theatre’s Artist-in-Residence, served as the evening’s emcee. Damon J. Bolling directed “That’s Entertainment!” performances. Funds raised from the event will be used for scholarships to pay for tuition and music for boys who would like to be part of the choir but may not have the financial resources to participate.
