Heart Ball Addressing Luncheon

The committee for the 60th Annual Phoenix Heart Ball met Oct. 4 at Mountain Shadows resort for the annual Addressing Luncheon. The 100-person team, led by Kristine Thompson, Heart Ball chair, spent the morning assembling the invitations, which were mailed directly following the event.

Bill Nassikas, president and chief operating officer of Westroc Hospitality, the parent company of Mountain Shadows, Hotel Valley Ho and Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa has underwritten the luncheon two years in a row.

Following lunch, which was served in the ballroom, Neiman Marcus presented the Badgley Mischka Resort Evening Collection, with a special appearance by the designers.

In addition to thanking Mountain Shadows, sponsors, committee members and past Heart Ball chairmen for their support of Phoenix Heart Ball and the American Heart Association, Thompson announced that The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will sponsor the after-party. Heart Ball guests will be able to continue the celebration with signature cocktails, finger food and a live DJ.

In addition to Thompson, the 60th Heart Ball executive committee consists of Charlene Berge-Blum and Amanda Garmany, vice chairmen; Sandy Magruder, Sweetheart; Priscilla and Michael Nicholas, honorary chairmen; and Jennifer Moser, chairman-elect.

The 60th Annual Phoenix Heart Ball will be held Nov. 23 at The Phoenician.
