Handbags with Heart

Fresh Start Women’s Foundation hosted its first annual Handbags with Heart virtual raffle, raising more $83,000-plus. Hosted by the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation Auxiliary Board and presented by PetSmart, the raffle featured seven handbags by designers Gucci, Fendi, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, YSL and local women-owned businesses Sage Aubrey and Soul Carrier.

While the Auxiliary Board typically hosts Wine Women & Shoes each fall, because of COVID-19 the board recognized the need to pivot to an online fundraising opportunity.

All of the funds raised from Handbags with Heart will directly benefit the programs and services offered by Fresh Start to women in the community. Now, more than ever, more women are turning to Fresh Start to get help with job training, skills development, social work services and family law support.
