7th Annual Independent Woman Luncheon Features HGTV Star

HGTV’s Sarah Richardson delivered the keynote speech at the seventh annual Independent Woman Luncheon, a fundraising event of Phoenix Art Museum. The Feb. 7 occasion was held in the museum’s Cummings Great Hall.

Each year, the popular luncheon celebrates the design community as they come together to support the museum’s commitment to excellence in the visual arts and education. The event honors a high-profile designer. Richardson is best known as the host of HBTV shows Room Service, Design Inc. and Real Potential. She is also a best-selling author, and her most recent book, At Home: Sarah Style, was available for purchase in The Museum Store.

Local designers created table centerpieces reflecting their interpretation of the Richardson’s down-to-earth elegance. Their creations were placed atop a tablecloth created with material from Richardson’s latest fabric collection, and each was available for purchase at the luncheon.

The day also included a raffle featuring gift items and furnishings from Valley luxury retailers. All proceeds from the luncheon benefited Phoenix Art Museum’s educational and exhibition programming.
