54th Annual Desert Ball
Desert Foundation Auxiliary held its 54th Annual Desert Ball on Dec. 21 at the Phoenician. More than 500 guests attended the event to celebrate the presentation of 19 young women by Mark T. Snyder. The ballroom was beautifully decorated by White House Design Studio in deep shades of pink, red and burgundy. A red velvet drape made of large red roses provided a backdrop for the presentation as well as for The Hamptons, who provided the dance music.
Wendy Dewane and Jill Hegardt co-chaired the evening. Proceeds from the ball are dispersed annually. The 2019 beneficiaries are Gigi University and ElderTLC.
