19th Annual Promise Ball
JDRF Arizona Chapter held its 19th annual Promise Ball at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa on Nov. 9. The 585 guests at the gala affair generated $1.4 million to help fund a cure for type 1 diabetes.
The black-tie fundraiser was themed “Unstoppable Now” and included a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing with after-party entertainment by Liquid Blue. This year’s honorees were Kim and David Roberts and their family for their commitment to JDRF’s vision of a world without type 1 diabetes. Carey Peña served as the evening’s emcee, and Letitia Frye returned as the auctioneer. Hank Arens of Hank Arens Designs chaired the event.
