12th Annual Wings Fashion Show
Childhelp hosted its 12th Annual Wings Fashion Show Luncheon on April 8 at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort and Spa. The event brought together volunteers and youth organizations throughout the community to implement service projects and fundraisers that support Childhelp programs and services in Arizona. The afternoon netted $185,000.
“This year’s Childhelp Wings Fashion Show truly highlighted the importance of Childhelp’s mission to give children the resources they need to lead strong and courageous lives,” says event co-chair Abby Leadon.
“It was an incredible experience to see our community come together to provide an abundant amount of resources to children who have so much potential for growth,” adds co-chair Alexis Earnhardt.
The fashion show included a celebrity runway, live and silent auctions, and fashions from Dillard’s. Celebrities gracing the runway included former U.S. Vice President Dan Quayle, college and NFL broadcaster and former NFL player Adam Archuleta, 49ers NFL football player Kyle Nelson, ABC 15 News anchor Fay Fredricks and 3TV sportscaster Tim Ring.
For the fourth consecutive year, ABC 15 Arizona’s Nick Ciletti hosted the event with actress Kat McNamara, known for her role in Freeform’s Shadowhunters. The luncheon’s Childhelp Wings awardees included Luke Airforce Base, Childhelp Caring Award, and the Kennedy family, Childhelp Heart of an Angel Award.
Corporate sponsors included Services Group of America, Earnhardt Lexus and the Jane N. Mooty Foundation.
Childhelp is a Phoenix-based national nonprofit dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse.
