Celebrity Fight Night Water Truck, St. Vincent De Paul Provide Relief

In 2015, Celebrity Fight Night donated a water truck to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and continuously provides supplies and a driver during these hot days. Celebrity Fight Night and its founder, Jimmy Walker, have been longtime supporters of St. Vincent de Paul. The truck continues to make daily runs, distributing water and other supplies to the homeless.

“To have a vehicle out in the community giving out water is a real life saver for people in this extreme heat,” says Stephen Zabilski, executive director of St. Vincent de Paul. “You can only imagine what it’s like for people struggling this time of the year.”

The truck is valued at $55,000, but Zabilski estimates well more than $100,000 in supplies will be distributed throughout a year.

The water truck departs from 420 W. Washington Road in Phoenix every weekday at 9 a.m. To make a donation to St. Vincent de Paul, call 602-255-4483.
