Arizona Opera Hosts Gala Luncheon

Luncheon on the Rhine raises more than $220K

More than 250 patrons attended Arizona Opera’s Gala Luncheon at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia on March 17. The Saturday afternoon party raised more than $220,000 for the company, an increase of almost 85 percent over previous years.

Shoshana B. Tancer and Jo Kuchai Pulvermacher co-chaired the event, which was themed Luncheon on the Rhine. In addition to a live auction, the program included a special guest appearance by Richard Paul Fink, an internationally acclaimed baritone, along with performances by the Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artists.

For extraordinary support to Arizona Opera, Joseph Specter, president and general director, presented Crystal Key Awards to Roma B. Wittcoff of Phoenix, Marlys A. Beider of Tucson and Opera America of New York.
