A Night in Crimson Tide

The third annual St. Jude Presents: A Night in … gala April 5 at the Clayton House raised more than $260,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event featured signature cocktails, an earrings raffle courtesy of Jacqueline Nerguizian of JN Jewels, and live and silent auctions.

Pat Bondurant received the St. Jude Letitia Frye Humanitarian Award, and Camerone Parker McCulloch and Martha Martin, co-chaired the event. Paying tribute to their alma mater, The University of Alabama, the venue was transformed into a sea of crimson and houndstooth.

Chris Boysen, St. Jude senior vice president of field development, shared one patient’s compelling story of survival, and educated guests about the new St. Jude Global efforts to raise the international survival rate of children diagnosed with six of the most common forms of cancer from 20 to 80 percent in the next decade. Jamie Korn shared her 7-year-old daughter Bridget’s journey battling osteosarcoma at St. Jude.

Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson and Richard J Stephenson, The Thoresen Foundation, KMLE 107.9, LIVE 101.5 and KOOL FM sponsored the event.
