Phoenix Center for the Arts Announces Gallery Opening

Phoenix Center for the Arts will host an exhibition showcasing student art in its new gallery space 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Oct. 7. The Student Showcase also presents an opportunity to show off the center’s new gallery.

Phoenix Center for the Arts’ new public gallery space will host bimonthly, first and third Friday artist receptions, and will remain open to the public during business hours, seven days a week. Each upcoming gallery exhibition will feature a different thematic focus.

The juried artwork for the October showcase represents a diverse student population of varying ages and skill sets. Younger students participate in a variety of visual arts courses, surrounded by an environment designed to foster childhood creativity. Adult classes at the center include not only immersive drawing, painting, printmaking and photography courses for all levels, but also expert instruction in three-dimensional mediums, such as ceramics, glass, metals/jewelry and mosaics.

With the opening of the new gallery space, Phoenix Center for the Arts seeks to encourage student/instructor involvement as well as community involvement and support.
