Esperança Breaks Attendance, Fundraising Records at 7th Annual Breakfast

The 350 guests at the Seventh Annual Hope Breakfast broke both attendance and fundraising records for Esperança. The March 15 event at the Embassy Suites Phoenix-Scottsdale raised more $106,000, with 91 cents of every dollar supporting Esperança’s goal that no one faces poverty alone. The money raised will be sent directly to those most in need in Phoenix, Nicaragua, Peru, Bolivia and Mozambique.

Maria Valenzuela, Esperança, Phoenix program director, was the featured speaker. Mark Austerliz, M.D., Esperança’s volunteer orthopedic surgeon, delivered the keynote address. The breakfast was emceed by Frank Camacho.
