4th Annual Desert Sky Gala

Care Fund raises $180-plus for Mortgage and Rent Assistance Program

Care Fund held its fourth Annual Desert Sky Gala on Oct. 20. at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. The evening included a raffle, wine pull, silent and live auctions, dancing and a live performance by Arizona native country artist Tyler Dial.

The 400 guests at the Western-themed event raised more than $180,000 to support Care Fund’s Mortgage and Rent Assistance Program. The program ensures Arizona families caring for children with an extended illness or injury can remain in their homes. The Burkart Family was recognized with Care Fund’s Courage Award, presented by Desert Ford Dealers.

Michelle Schwartz and Lisa Westcott-Wadey co-chaired the evening, and Sonoran Living’s Susan Casper emceed the event. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona was the presenting sponsor.
