3 Chateaus. 3 Top Designers. 1 Design Winner.

After a year of craftsmanship designing three, five-story chateaus, Chateau on Central Design Challenge Arizona will announce one winner. Designers competing in the year-long challenge include Robert Burg of Robert Burg Design, Charles Glover of Charles Glover Interiors and Beth McGehee of SB Design Studio.

The Reveal will take place on-site at Chateau on Central 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 26, with special guest judge Luis D. Ortiz of Million Dollar Listing New York. Local judges are Chateau listing agent Monica Monson; fashion, design and interior architecture expert Oscar de las Salas; and luxury fashion and design guru Kelly Persellin.

During the design challenge, which began in February 2015, the three selected designers each were given a budget and one chateau to design from the shell to completed stage. Each was responsible for designing five levels of their respective chateau from floor to ceiling. The luxurious chateaus, which each come equipped with an in-home elevator, range in size from 5,200 square to 5,700 square feet and are currently listed by Monica Monson of Monson Luxury Group at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.

“Beth, Robert and Charles have taken this design challenge to a level we never could have imagined, and all produced spaces that are unique, forward-thinking and really cutting-edge in the world of design,” Monson says.

The winning designer will be awarded four round-trip tickets to New York City, including a three-night stay in luxurious accommodations, a $10,000 Rolex watch from Coffin and Trout, feature stories in two design magazines and other prizes.

Located at the corner of Palm Lane and Central Avenue, the ticketed evening will begin with a tour of the three chateaus, followed by a celebration with complimentary gourmet bites, wine and bubbly, all benefiting Stars of the Season for Cardon Children’s Medical Center.
