2nd Annual Vino con Stelle

The second annual Vino con Stelle event was held April13 at the Wrigley Mansion to benefit Gateway for Cancer Research. The intimate evening of food, wine and entertainment under the stars was hosted by Richard J Stephenson, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Gateway for Cancer Research founder and chairman, and Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson, CTCA chairman of functional medicine and Gateway Board of Directors. The event raised $500,000 to fund Phase I and Phase II cancer clinical trials at research institutions across the world.

Phoenix philanthropist Bill Pope was awarded the inaugural Luminary Award for his advocacy and dedication to charitable causes.

Guests enjoyed a custom culinary experience designed by Wrigley Mansion’s executive chef and James Beard award-winner Christopher Gross and inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.” Charity auctioneer Greg Quiroga presented a lineup of wine vacation experiences and packages for wine aficionados. Following dinner, guests enjoyed entertainment featuring R&B singer and songwriter Brian McKnight, Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley, and the youngest singer to ever reach Number 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album charts and The Voice contestant Billy Gilman. Actress and comedian Melissa Peterman led the evening as celebrity host.
