McNight to Remember: The Jungle Book Gala
A record number of guests – 620 – attended the Ronald McDonald House gala, A McNight O Remember: The Jungle Book Gala on Nov. 12 at the Arizona Biltmore. Their generosity helped raise $492,000, also a record, for the House.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, a raffle and dinner, followed by an awards presentation.
The evening honored Phoenix Police Commander Kevin Robinson, who has served in several Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix board of directors positions since 2009, with the 2016 Heart of the House Award. Longtime RMHC champion Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona received the corresponding corporate Heart of the House Award. The company has provided consistent financial and volunteer support for RMHC, including a $50,000 donation to the capital expansion campaign for the original Ronald McDonald House in 2005 and a $15,000 donation to the capital campaign for the House on the campus of Cardon Children’s Medical Center in 2014.
Lanette and Scott Harris co-chaired the evening. Marty Manning and Connie Colla served as co-hosts.
