A New Leaf Brings Beatle-Mania to the Montelucia
A New Leaf brought Beatle-mania to the Valley at the 33rd Annual Camaraderie Gala held Feb. 17 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia. More than 300 guests came out in various Beatle-inspired styles and were greeted by the children of A New Leaf’s La Mesita after-school program. The children passed out John Lennon-like sunglasses and greeted guests as they arrived. Senator Bob and Christi Worsley were the evening’s honorary hosts.
Before dinner, guests enjoyed cocktails, a wine pull, silent auction and photo booth. A live auction and dancing followed dinner. Auctioneer Bobby D. Ehlert generated bids and excitement for auction packages that included getaway stays and a Dancing With the Stars package to raise funds for A New Leaf’s homeless and domestic violence shelter programs.
Rusty Ferracane performed during the event, and Marmalade Skies closed the evening with all Beatles music, all night long.
A New Leaf is a 46-year-old community organization providing support services to help individuals and families in crisis.
