‘Saddle Up’ Opening Gala

Scottsdale’s Museum of the West hosts cocktail reception

More than 200 guests gathered at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West on Oct. 13 for Saddle Up. Stephanie Johnston chaired the event that included a cocktail reception and self-guided tours of two new exhibits, Maynard Dixon Retrospective and Gil Waldman’s Personal Western Art Collection.

Buffet dining was available throughout the evening. Daisy Train Band and award-winning storyteller and guitarist Jim Salestrom entertained, along with the Cowgirls Historical Foundation.

The evening generated almost $100,000 of donations and in-kind support for the museum’s operations.
