Compassion with Fashion fundraiser ‘Paws in Paradise’ Shines Light on Pets in Need

The 18th annual Compassion with Fashion: Paws in Paradise luncheon and fashion show raised more than $928,000 to support Arizona Humane Society’s lifesaving programs and services. The April 3 event drew 1,252 guests to the Phoenician for a tropical-themed day complete with a seated island fest.

The luncheon featured Compassion with Fashion’s largest silent auction to date, including a guest favorite: the Furry Wishes table filled with some of the most frequently used and needed shelter items for AHS’s Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, Emergency Animal Medical Technician Program and Behavior Program.

My Sister’s Closet presented the runway show, which showcased 21 adorable adoptable homeless pets, including a guinea pig. All found their forever homes at the event.

PetSmart Charities was the presenting sponsor.

Joni Davis and Suzanne Pearl co-chaired Paws in Paradise.
