Goldy’s Bash Raises Funds for Phoenix Children’s Hospital
Diamondbacks players traded their baseballs for bowling balls and their cleats for bowling shoes; they signed bowling pins instead of game programs and rolled strikes instead of facing them – all to raise money for Goldy’s Fund 4 Kids. The 225 guests at the Second Annual Goldy’s Bowling Bash on Feb. 22 at Lucky Strike raised a net of $200,000 to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and the fund is continuing to receive contributions.
The event, hosted by Dbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and his wife, Amy, draws baseball stars along with other Valley sports stars to enjoy a cocktail reception, a silent auction, bowling and a lively after-party.
“Amy and I have made it our mission to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this amazing cause and children’s hospital right here in the Valley,” says Goldschmidt.
