48th Annual Celebration of Caring Gala
Assistance League of Phoenix hosted its 48th Annual Celebration of Caring gala March 23 at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia. More than 375 community and corporate leaders, sponsors and philanthropists attended the 2019 fundraising event, themed “A Whole New World.”
The $430,000-plus proceeds surpassed previous years, making this its most successful gala to date.
Each year, Assistance League of Phoenix celebrates Excellence in Philanthropy and raises money to support Operation School Bell, its signature program, which provides new school clothing and other necessities for students at more than 90 Title I schools in the greater Phoenix area. Robert Withers, Jerry Wissink and BHHS Legacy Foundation, and Phoenix Rotary 100 received Excellence in Philanthropy awards in recognition of their philanthropic impact on the Valley.
Steve Irwin of ABC15 served as the evening’s master of ceremonies.
