25th Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic

The Men’s Board of Fresh Start Women’s Foundation hosted the 25th Annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Tournament on Nov. 8 at Talking Stick Golf Club. The event, presented by Valley Toyota Dealers, raised in excess of $400,000 to benefit the programs and services offered at Fresh Start.

The Golf Classic expanded to Talking Stick Golf Club for the 2019 event to accommodate more golfers and activities. The new location also brought together the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and event sponsors. A new partnership with REDW LLC, CPAs and Advisors presented the opportunity to bring in four-time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III to participate in the event and host a golf clinic for middle and high school girls from the Salt River Indian Community.

In addition to the golf clinic in the morning, each course in the unique tournament offered four hole-in-one opportunities to win brand new vehicles, courtesy Valley Toyota Dealers. While no one won a car with a hole-in-one, a winner was selected for the 2020 RAV4 Adventure raffle at the end of the evening.

The after-party featured music by Nate Nathan and the Mac Daddy-O’s as well as a live auction, dinner, drinks and a glow-in-the-dark chipping contest.
