Ernesto Garcia was one of the most decorated designers in the ASID Arizona Chapter’s 2012 Design Excellence contest.

 

The chapter’s 52 awards were based on judging by the Denver and Washington ASID chapters and presented Aug.11.

 

Garcia, owner/designer of Ernesto Garcia, ASID Interior Design, received first place for a residence less than 3,500 square feet, one award for bathroom design, third place for fixtures and third place and honorable mention in the furniture category.

Garcia designed this home for the Lane Cardwell, CEO of PF Chang, and his wife, Pam, who are serious collectors of contemporary Texan art. The coffee table, made in Maccasar Ebony which runs in different directions, received an award for “Furniture Design.”

 

 

The mosaic design and fixtures in this Old World bathroom garnered another award for Garcia. Below, the intricate mosaic continues throughout the bathroom.

   

Garcia received an award for this transforming bathroom remodel. 

 

The dining room above and at top received an award in the “Furniture Design” category.
