The American Cancer Society’s 51st annual gala was held at Phoenix Country Club on April 14. About 310 guests attended the picnic-themed event that was a no-jackets evening for men and sundresses evening for women.

 

The gala featured a Tuscan menu, dancing to the music of Sapphire Sky and silent and live auctions. The brightly colored dining tables were designed by White House Design Studio.

 

Betty McRae, Beth McRae and Bill Dougherty co-chaired the event, which netted $315,000. A portion of the funds raised will benefit Arizona Camp Sunrise, a free residential camp in northern Arizona for children who have or have had cancer and their siblings.
