Annual luncheon supports Phoenix Art Museum’s Fashion Design Collection

Fashion enthusiasts gathered at Phoenix Art Museum for the annual Arizona Costume Institute Holiday Luncheon on Dec. 9. The festive event featured raffle prizes, drawings and a silent auction. The day kicked off with a Champagne Reception with pianist Caio Pagano.

New York celebrity stylist Freddie Leiba was this year’s guest speaker. Leiba served as a guest judge on Project Runway and has styled an impressive list of Hollywood A-listers. In the ’70s he worked with Andy Warhol as part of a team launching Interview magazine. (The Andy Warhol: Portraits exhibition will open at Phoenix Art Museum on March 4 and run through June 21.) Since then he has served as the creative director of Harper’s Bazaar and contributing fashion director at InStyle magazine.

Funds raised through the ACI Holiday Luncheon support the museum’s Fashion Design Collection. Kim Gwozdz chaired the occasion.
