With the theme Once Upon a Tail, the 2015 version of Compassion With Fashion drew

a record-breaking 1,250 guests to the Phoenician on March 29. The luncheon and fashion show was

the Arizona Humane Society’s 17th annual.

Sponsored by PetSmart Charities, the event began with a bubbly champagne raffle, presented by Schmitt Jewelers, and a storybook silent auction, presented by Hill’s Science Diet, featuring items ranging from trips and staycations to a one-of-a-kind, limited edition Petcasso Art Collection. Afterward, guests enjoyed a seated lunch.

The fashion show, courtesy of Biltmore Fashion Park, featured children and models dressed in fanciful fairytale attire, accompanying pets on the runway.

The events raised more than $700,000, and best of all, resulted in 21 pet adoptions.

Sue Pearl and Johanna Williams co-chaired the event, and 3TV co-anchors Brandon Lee and Heather Moore were the emcees. Funds from the luncheon help provide care for thousands of homeless animals.
