2017-18 Arts Heroes

Unsung arts supporters heralded in Phoenix, Tucson

This May, ON Media, with Phoenix partner SRP and Tucson partner the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, recognized the often unsung people who help the arts to flourish. These Arts Heroes – 16 individuals and one organization – were acknowledged for their mostly behind-the-scenes contributions to the success of the arts in Phoenix and Tucson. One was recognized each month in the programs for the performing arts.

The Tucson Heroes were feted at the Hotel Congress on May 10, and the Phoenix Heroes were celebrated May 18 at Symphony Hall prior to the performance of Live from Broadway by The Phoenix Symphony. Each hero received a large plaque printed with a copy of his or her profile.
