Night Circus at SMoCA
The Night Circus gala at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art
dazzled a sold-out crowd of 700 on May 11. Acrobats hung from the
ceilings, satyrs hoofed their way through a magic forest,
fortunetellers proclaimed bright futures and otherworldly light and
video installations transformed the museum.

Picnic Under the Stars
The American Cancer Societys 52nd annual gala May 4 at Phoenix
Country Club raised $419,000 in the fight against cancer. The
French-themed outdoor picnic under the stars welcomed about 450 guests
for dinner, entertainment, dancing and a live auction.
