Phoenix Fashion Week will host its annual series of runway shows Oct. 13 – 15 at Talking Stick Resort. The three-day event celebrates the conclusion of a four-month emerging designer boot camp, led by mentor and True Religion Jeans co-founder Kym Gold, in which the 14 hand-selected designers have been preparing to launch their collections for Phoenix Fashion Week.
“Phoenix Fashion Week continues to innovate, creating new experiences for guests. This year, we will host our Second Annual ‘Community Night,’ featuring 12 local designers and their best two looks,” says Brian Hill, executive director of Phoenix Fashion Week. “Also, this year guests will get to purchase curated items direct from our runways through the Phoenix Fashion Week mobile app, satisfying our mission to “Bridge Designers and Buyers.”
The three-day event will include a variety of fashion-focused seminars taught by industry experts during the day and a total of 24 evening runway shows. Each night Hill and the Phoenix Fashion Week team will announce Lifestyle, Contemporary and Couture “Designer of the Year.” These winners will get to market their collections on home shopping TV network EVINE in the spring of 2017.
“Every year, Phoenix Fashion Week continues to grow our brand reach. This year we have global brands from the Cayman Islands, Botswana, Cape Town South Africa, Philippines, Kuwait, Lebanon and the United States. This kind of reach proves that Phoenix Fashion Week is the launch pad for brands looking to succeed in the fashion industry,” says Hill.
