Wine Toss, Wheel of Fortune, and Bubbles and Bling Add to Fun at Double Down for Homeward Bound

Double Down, the Friday the 13th fundraising event to support Homeward Bound, brought nothing but luck to the nonprofit organization whose mission is to create pathways out of poverty for homeless families ready to make a change.

More than 400 guests were on hand for the casino-style evening at Scottsdale Airport, where they enjoyed a wine toss, Wheel of Fortune to win raffle tickets for a backyard patio set, and a Bubbles and Bling game in which they bought a glass of Champagne with a chance it contained a one-carat diamond. The fun, which continued throughout the evening with casino games, raised more than $230,000 for the organization.

The live auction featured a trip to Beverly Hills on a private jet and a two-night stay at the Peninsula Beverly Hills, plus a $1,000 gift card donated by Angela and Tom McDermott. The package sold for $10,000.

Le Crepe food truck was available during the evening for dessert crepes, and guests could get shots of B12 or hydration drips at The Drip Room. STATUS provided the music for dancing, DJ Smash kept the party moving and Bobby D was the auctioneer. Carla and Pat Kroneberger co-chaired the evening.
