Super Ball Sports Gala
In its third year, Arizona Assistance in Healthcare’s gala with a sports twist has grown into a successful evening of fun. The Jan. 28 Super Ball Sports Gala at Chateau Luxe in north Phoenix was themed “Where Rhinestones Meet the Red Zone,” and guests rose to the occasion with plenty of bling as well as sports attire.
More than 500 guests attended, raising more than $230,000 for individuals’ non-medical expenses when the cost of prolonged medical care creates financial hardship. Money raised from this year’s party, which was co-chaired by Carrie Martz and Molly Stockley, will help 543 people this year with their non-medical expenses.
The evening included premier wine and cheese samplings during the cocktail hour and, for dinner, a movable feast created by the Chateau Luxe chef. Hot dogs and brats found their perfect wrap in house-baked breads, and guests could select from other sports-associated goodies including baked macaroni and cheese, braised pork and more.
Dave Pratt, The Morning Mayor, emceed the event that celebrated honorary co-chairs Josh Webb and his mother Pansy Willis. Webb is an Arizona Assistance in Healthcare recipient.
Super Ball 2017 was presented by Cancer Treatment Centers of America and in partnership with the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks. Sponsors included Okland Construction, Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group, Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center’s Team of Physicians, and Byrd Hotels.
