2nd Annual Vino con Stelle Brings World-Class Entertainment to Fundraiser

The second annual Vino con Stelle, an evening of fine wine, cuisine and entertainment under the star, will be held April 13 at the Wrigley Mansion. The announcement was made by Richard J Stephenson, founder and chairman of Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Gateway for Cancer Research, and Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson, CTCA chairman of Functional Medicine and member of the Gateway Board of Directors.

The event will benefit Gateway for Cancer Research, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding transformational cancer research worldwide.

“Our mission instills a sense of urgency to accelerate the pace of cancer research,” says Teresa Hall Bartels, president, Gateway for Cancer Research. “Our dedication to investing in novel patient-centric approaches, combined with the increasing rate of treatment advances, leads us to believe that together we can conquer cancer in our lifetime.”

Entertainment for the April 13 evening includes Billy Gilman, who burst onto the national stage in 2000 with the hit single “One Voice.” His debut album was certified double platinum in the United States, and he was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest singer to ever reach No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Album charts. At 29, Gilman will share his new music and his new sound with his fans on NBC’s The Voice: Season 11.

Also performing will be Heather Headley, whom Billboard Magazine calls “one of the great entertainers of the day.” The Tony and Grammy Award-winning performer won the role of Nala in the original Broadway cast of the Elton John and Tim Rice’s hit The Lion King, and she earned the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role of Aida in Aida. In 1997, she was listed among People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” and Essence Magazine’s “30 Women To Watch.”

The third performer is singer, songwriter and producer Brian McKnight. McKnight has released 19 albums over the past 25 years, selling more than 30 million albums worldwide. He has received 16 Grammy nominations and has had numerous chart-topping songs. His most notable album, Back At One, sold more than 3 million copies.

In addition to the entertainment, Vino con Stelle will include a live auction for wine aficionados. Seating is limited to 200 people. For more information, CLICK HERE.
