Party of Note: Prescott Valley

As triple digit weather hit Phoenix, more than 50 guests from the Valley and the Prescott area gathered at the June 5 Party of Note in Prescott. State Senator Steve Pierce and his wife, Joan, hosted the event at their family ranch.

The historic Las Vegas Ranch has been in the Pierce family since 1959 and covers more than 42 sections of lush bottom lands. Guests mingled under the canopy of beautiful mature shade trees while being serenaded by The Phoenix Symphony on the late spring afternoon.

As the midday temperatures began to fall, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner.

Symphony musicians Viviana Cumplido-Wilson, principal flute; Melita Hunsinger, principal cello; Christopher McKay, acting associate principal viola; and Karen Sinclair, section first violin; provided the musical performance.
