Big Night Out
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona raised almost $300,000 at its Feb. 21 Big Night Out. The dinner at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn drew approximately 700 guests, who enjoyed a cocktail reception with piano entertainment by Phil Jones, mystery boxes and a silent auction. Guests then went inside for dinner and a program highlighting the power of mentoring.
Misty Hyman, Shadow Mountain High School graduate and 2000 Olympic gold medalist in the women’s 200-meter butterfly, delivered the keynote address. Paul Horton, KPHO CBS 5 chief meteorologist, served as the evening’s emcee.
Oscar De las salas and Camille French co-chaired the event.
