Party of Note: Home on the Range

Almost 60 Phoenix Symphony guests traveled to the Prescott family ranch of Arizona Senator Steve Pierce and his wife, Joan, on June 3 for the season’s final Party of Note.  The guests traveled aboard a luxury shuttle from Phoenix, which was underwritten by Phoenix Symphony supporter Carole Downs.

Surrounded by acres of lush property with breathtaking views in Williamson Valley, guests were treated to a western dinner. The highlight of the event was a concert from the Phoenix Symphony Brass Quintet led by Emery Harvison, assistant principal trumpet; Chuck Kerrigan, tuba; Gabe Kovach, French horn; Benny Nguyen, trumpet; and Chris Wolf, trombone. They performed selections from West Side Story and patriotic songs.

In its seventh season, Parties of note offers a unique opportunity to spend an evening in an intimate setting with Symphony musicians and friends, while enjoying a meal in some of the Valley’s finest homes.
