Annual fundraising event to transition from luncheon to gala in 2018

Arizona Women’s Education & Employment kicked off its Feb. 9, 2018, gala Nov. 16 in the courtyard of its offices on East Coronado Street in Phoenix. The annual Faces of Success event is transitioning from a luncheon to a dinner gala at the PERA Club.

Ambassador Barbara Barrett will receive the inaugural Barbara Barrett AWEE Icon Award at the gala. She and her husband, Dr. Craig Barrett, attended the kickoff, as did Michael Hughes, president and CEO of A New Leaf, which recently merged with AWEE.

Christina Worden, political involvement committee administrator at Salt River Project, is the chair for the Feb. 9 gala.
