31st Annual Crozier Gala Raises $225K

The Catholic Community Foundation celebrated its 31st Annual Crozier Gala at the Phoenician on April 27 in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Phoenix.

The sold-out event is the organization’s largest fundraiser. The Catholic Community Foundation invests in the Catholic community of greater Arizona.

Co-chaired by community leaders Trish Stark and Kim Ruggiero, the gala took guests on a journey of remembrance and celebrated the generations of families, businesses and organizations who live their faith by giving generously to support the ministries that serve the people of the Diocese of Phoenix.

Thomas J. Olmsted, bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix, spoke at the event and was the special guest of the evening. Matt Smith, known for his role on MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans, emceed the evening. ASU head football coach Herm Edward delivered the keynote address, speaking about walking in the footsteps of faith and being the best version of yourself.

Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, Catholic EducatIon Arizona, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Happy Jack Lodge, Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes, and National Bank of Arizona were among the sponsors.
