More than 230 golfers teed off at the 22nd annual Fresh Start Charity Golf Classic on Nov. 4 at Kierland Golf Course. The event was presented by Valley Toyota Dealers and grossed more than $375,000. Proceeds benefit programs and services offered at Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, a Phoenix-based nonprofit organization serving women. The tournament is put together by the Fresh Start Men’s Board.
Golfers enjoyed breakfast, lunch and beverages while playing, and a lively awards banquet and live auction afterward. The unique tournament also offered 12 hole-in-one opportunities to win an array of vehicles courtesy of Valley Toyota Dealers. Golfers, as well as the greater community, had the opportunity to purchase $100 raffle tickets for a chance to win a new 2017 Toyota Prius. The raffle raised $26,000, which is part of the total $375,000 grossed by the event, and was awarded to Bennett Brown of Phoenix.
