Rendez-Zoo, An Evening of Conservation and Cuisine

More than 600 Valley philanthropists, leaders and supporters of the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation/Phoenix Zoo gathered for an unforgettable evening at Rendez-Zoo, An Evening of Conservation and Cuisine. Guests at the Oct. 14 event journeyed through Jurassic-sized fun and entertainment at this year’s ZooFari, Back from the Brink-themed event. “Live” dinosaurs greeted attendees as they arrived.

VIP guests enjoyed a seated dinner catered by Lancer Hospitality and had exclusive access to particular auction items. ZooFari partygoers enjoyed an array of delicacies and beverages from more than 30 of the Valley’s best known restaurants and caterers and bid on an array of unique and exquisite auction items. All attendees came together to dance under the stars to the sounds of Boogie Knights amid the beautiful atmosphere of the Phoenix Zoo.

Yvonne and Steve Betts chaired the evening, with Marlene and Grant Woods serving as honorary chairs. Funds from the event benefit Phoenix Zoo’s conservation initiatives, excellence in educational programs and mission.

The event theme connected with the current Dinosaurs in the Desert exhibition, which opened Oct. 6 and runs through April 30, 2018.
