Inaugural Plated & Staged Adds Element of Mystery to Fundraiser’s Dining Experience

We’re dining out, but where? The Inaugural Plated & Staged . . . A Herberger Theater Experience on April 24 didn’t let guests in on their restaurant destination until after they had partied at Herberger Theater.

The evening began at the Herberger Theater for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and entertainment. Ally Lansdowne, 2016 Arizona Young Artists’ Competition voice winner, and an aerialist from The Dance Shopped performed during the cocktail hour.

Then 13 Valley restaurants hosted tables of eight with specially prepared three-course meals and wine. Restaurants included the Second Story Liquor Bar, Ocotillo, Toro, Dominick’s Steakhouse, Southern Rail Restaurant, Marcellino Restaurant, University Club Phoenix, Tuck Shop Kitchen & Bar, Seasons 22, Nook, Sel, The Herb Box and Drexyl. Guests found out which restaurant they would experience just before departure.

Theresa Dwyer chaired the Plated & Staged committee. Proceeds from the evening benefit the theater’s youth outreach programs.
