Cocktails & Clothes A Winning Combination for AWEE Supporters

Friends-funds-and-clothes raiser generates $40K and 2,000 pounds of clothing for free boutique.

Arizona Women’s Education & Employment hosted its annual friends-funds-and-clothes raiser at the Arizona Biltmore’s Adobe Restaurant on March 8. More than 200 supporters attended the event, raising $40,000 and donating more than 2,000 pounds of new and gently used clothing for AWEE’s free Clothing Boutique.

Phyllis Dumond of Stewart Title and Kathy Jorgenson of Alliance Bank of Arizona co-chaired the event, and Insignia CRE was the Diamond Sponsor. Friends of AWEE organized the occasion, which included a raffle with custom-designed gift baskets valued between $250 and $1,000, a live auction, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
