7th Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower returns to the Valley. Last year the Scottsdale polo championships drew the biggest polo crowd in the country with more than 11,000 fans enjoying the showdowns at the annual Polo Party.
This year’s lineup features Santa Barbara vs. Polo Azteca, Seattle vs. Arizona Polo Club, and the reigning champions, Aspen Valley Polo Club vs. Monte Carlo Polo Team. It ends Saturday with The Women’s Sunset Polo Match, and returns Sunday for The Brunch sponsored by Scottsdale Maserati and a Battle of The Sexes match, followed by St. Moritz Switzerland vs. Clogau Wales Polo Team.
Attendees will also enjoy a sneak preview of the 2018 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and see horsepower with a preview of the world-famous Barrett-Jackson 2018 Collector Car Auction along with local Ferrari and Lamborghini car clubs lining the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships at Wells Fargo Wells Fargo Private Bank Field at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
Phoenix Opera and the Southwest Shakespeare Company will perform live during the event.
This year polo player Ashley Busch, the wife of Daytona 500 star Kurt Busch will be representing the Aspen Valley Polo Club when the undefeated champions, led by team owner Melissa Ganzi takes on the Monte-Carlo Polo Club.
“I am thrilled and excited to be playing in the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships,” says Busch. “For years now I’ve been hearing about the event, the party and sheer numbers of attendees. I am so honored to be playing for Aspen Valley and look forward to bringing the Molina Cup home to Aspen Valley again.”
On Saturday, look for Kurt Busch to make a debut at The Polo Party when he drops the ball for one of the signature matches of the day.
