Season tickets are on sale now for the 2013/14 Phoenix Symphony
season. The lineup promises to bring some of the biggest music and
names of the orchestral world to Symphony Hall and other Valley
locations. This season is the Symphony's 66th anniversary. It was
founded in 1947. The search continues for a music director as the

Musicfest Appoints Executive Director
After a national search, Arizona Musicfest has appointed Allan
Naplan executive director, effective Feb. 1, 2013.
Naplan has enjoyed a 20-year career as a performing artist,
composer, educator and administrator. Most recently, he served as
president and general director of Minnesota Opera.

New Title for Maestro Christie
Michael Christie has been named the Phoenix Symphony's Music
Director Laureate by the organization's board of directors. Christie
steps down as the Virginia G. Piper Music Director in June, having
been named music director of the Minnesota Opera.
